Flutist Delphine Roche has a reputation for versatility and engagement. An accomplished performer, she works with a diverse palette of influences and intuitions. Roche is highly specialized, with notable experience and training in Baroque, Classical, and Modern music.

Roche is often requested by leading orchestras and ensembles, and performs frequently with Ensemble Modern and the Frankfurt Opera among many others. Her playing has been extensively recorded, including prize-winning efforts on the ECM, cpo, Spektral, Ars Production and Naxos labels.

Roche travels the world, appearing at many internationally renowned music festivals. She has worked with hundreds of composers and conductors throughout her career, along with an assortment of artists, actors, directors, and dancers. Passionate about musical ideas and personal exchange, Roche is also a devoted teacher with a full class of students at Dr. Hoch’s Konservatorium.

After studying at the Conservatoire in Paris, Delphine Roche completed her artistic training at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg with Prof. Felix Renggli. Further studies brought her to the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts for specialization in historical music and traverso flute, and to the International Ensemble Modern Academy for specialization in contemporary music.
